Towards the end of 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO), reported its first case of what is now known as the ‘Coronavirus Disease 2019’ (COVID – 19). Since then, there has been an extraordinary rise in Covid – 19 cases world-wide. COVID-19 has spread to more than 100 countries, including Zimbabwe.
Lomagundi College has had to quickly adjust to the situation, so as to reduce the impact the pandemic could potentially have on our pupils’ learning and development. We believe we have done extraordinarily well under the circumstances. As an institution, we quickly put in place policies and procedures in line with WHO guidelines and the Ministry of Health in Zimbabwe, to assist in mitigating the impact of Covid-19 on our staff, pupils, parents and various stakeholders. We also quickly migrated to online learning so as to ensure that our pupils continue to receive quality education at Lomagundi College.
Our staff are receiving constant training so that we offer the best service, and so that our students continue to progress academically despite the restrictions that Covid-19 has imposed.
